Gene is a career healthcare industry veteran with over 40 years of experience. Before joining Healthx, he established an impressive track record of leadership and success in numerous senior executive positions at companies in healthcare information systems, software, products, devices and professional services. Most recently, he was CEO of SafeOp Surgical, Inc. (now an Alphatec company) the developer and provider of the EPAD™ System, a unique, simple-to-use, and cost-effective neurological monitoring solution. Previous to SafeOp, he was President and CEO of Capsule Technologies (now a part of Qualcomm Life) the industry leading provider of medical device integration solutions. Gene has also held CEO and President positions at Lynx Medical Systems; Landacorp, Inc.; Medicode; and TDS Healthcare Systems, now part of Allscripts.
Chief Revenue Officer
Chuck works with Healthx customers – including commercial health plans, Third Party Administrators, Managed Medicaid/Medicare and Provider Sponsored Health Plans – in developing strategies and solutions to streamline administrative processes and improve the quality of care provided to their members. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Chuck guides all revenue-related activities, including new sales, account management, sales operations and marketing. He has over 30 years of managed healthcare experience as a provider, payer and technology consultant. Chuck holds a Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas More College
Chief Financial Officer
Mark brings to Healthx over two decades of experience in healthcare technology, in addition to having previously served as the financial leader for several venture capital funded companies. Before joining Healthx, Mark held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Visioneering Technologies, Inc. (VTI), a publicly traded vision technology company that designs, manufactures, sells and distributes revolutionary contact lens products. Prior to VTI, Mark was CFO for Capsule Technologie SAS (now a part of Qualcomm Life), a private equity-funded provider of medical device integration solutions. Mark’s resume of healthcare leadership experience also includes serving as President & CEO of Thomas, Thomas & Walsh, Inc., a venture capital-funded provider of Medicaid eligibility services to hospitals; and COO and CFO of Landacorp, Inc., a Nasdaq traded company that provided technology-based population health management solutions to hospitals, health systems and managed care organizations. Mark earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from State University of New York at Binghamton.
Chief Strategy Officer
Michael is responsible for market strategy, product management, and strategic alliances. He has nearly 30 years of software and information technology experience with deep expertise in applying technology solutions to healthcare payer business problems. Prior to joining Healthx, he was vice president of product for iTriage, a consumer-centric healthcare technology company acquired by Aetna, Inc. In previous positions, he held product and strategy leadership roles at major companies including The TriZetto Group, Diogenes and Sybase. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Chief Technology Officer
As CTO, Mike is responsible for ensuring the system architecture and the engineering team deliver the technical vision for the Healthx platform. He has over 20 years of technology experience in security, energy, education, and healthcare industries. In his nine years at Healthx, his leadership has helped maintain a secure system with excellent performance. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University–Purdue University in Indianapolis. During his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with family, going fishing, and grilling in the back yard.
Vice President of Engineering
Jeff leads Healthx’s engineering department which includes Product Engineering, Quality Assurance and Dev Ops. His teams are responsible for delivering the suite of Healthx products consumed by healthcare professionals across the globe. With over 20 years of engineering experience, including start-ups and global corporations, he has developed a passion for agile methods and continuous improvement. Previous to joining Healthx, Jeff was a Sr. Director of Engineering for Angie’s List. Prior to that Jeff was a co-founder and head of engineering at CertCapture.com, an enterprise level sales tax compliance product. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Purdue University.
Vice President of Account Management
Dwight is career-long payer executive with experience at commercial health plans and third party administrators. A ten-year veteran at Healthx, Dwight is responsible for the overall client satisfaction of a rapidly growing client base of health care payers throughout the United States. He oversees a team of Account Executives and Engagement Consultants, committed to maximizing customer strategies and solutions to improve the member and provider experience. Dwight earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Spanish from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.
Vice President of Services & Support
Karl leads Healthx’s Services and Support organizations, which include, application implementation, project management, employee and client training, and application update services. His teams are responsible for implementing the suite of Healthx products for new clients and proactively monitoring and maintaining the production environments for existing clients. With over 25 years of healthcare software services and support experience, including start-ups and global corporations, Karl is passionate about driving toward maximum value tor clients. Prior to joining Healthx, Karl was an SVP of Member Services at Executive Networks. Karl has worked for several large healthcare software companies including seven years at McKesson and three years at NextGen. Karl holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Maine and an MBA from Bentley College.
