Chief Executive Officer
Mark brings to Healthx two decades of experience in healthcare technology. His resume of healthcare leadership experience includes serving as President & CEO of Thomas, Thomas & Walsh, Inc., a venture capital-funded provider of Medicaid eligibility technology and services to hospitals and COO of Landacorp, Inc., a Nasdaq traded company that provided technology-based population health management solutions to hospitals, health systems, and managed care organizations. Mark also held executive management positions including CFO at Visioneering Technologies, Inc. (VTI), a publicly traded vision technology company that designs, manufactures, sells, and distributes revolutionary contact lens products and CFO for Capsule Technologies SAS, a private equity-funded international provider of medical device integration solutions. Mark earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from State University of New York at Binghamton.
Curt J. Thornton
Chief Revenue Officer
Curt is a proven sales executive who has spent his career working with organizations focused on improving the global delivery of health care—from medical device and software products to acute care diagnostic services. Curt most recently served as Senior Vice President of Sales for Quantros, Inc., an industry leading provider of SaaS-based healthcare quality and safety solutions, where he led both sales and business development. Prior to Quantros, he held leadership positions at Qualcomm Life/CapsuleTech, Inc., including head of sales for North America. In addition to his work in sales and business development, Curt also has extensive experience in product marketing, strategic alliances, corporate operations, and consulting services.
Chief Technology Officer
Jeff leads Healthx’s engineering department which includes Product Engineering, Quality Assurance and Dev Ops. His teams are responsible for delivering the suite of Healthx products consumed by healthcare professionals across the globe. With over 20 years of engineering experience, including start-ups and global corporations, he has developed a passion for agile methods and continuous improvement. Previous to joining Healthx, Jeff was a Sr. Director of Engineering for Angie’s List. Prior to that Jeff was a co-founder and head of engineering at CertCapture.com, an enterprise level sales tax compliance product. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Purdue University.
Chief Experience Officer
With over 20 years in healthcare technology, Leah comes to Healthx from Burgess Group, a technology company that integrates healthcare payer systems to transform payment workflows and provide powerful business intelligence to improve payer performance. At Burgess, Leah served as Senior Vice President-Customer Experience where she spearheaded the client experience organizational strategy and management with specific oversight of implementations, project management, support services, digital marketing, and contract management. Prior to Burgess, Leah held the Vice President, Customer Experience position at Symphony Performance Health Analytics; served as Executive Vice-President and Managing Director at Legacy Data Access; and held customer service and product management positions at a host of organizations that include QuadraMed, DST Healthcare Solutions, CareMedic Systems, Medassets and Per-Se Technologies.
Vice President of Finance
Don Melton brings to Healthx over 25 years in finance and accounting, including the last 18 years in the software industry. Prior to joining Healthx, Don served as Director, Financial Planning & Analysis at Aptean (previously Consona and Made2Manage), a global provider of manufacturing ERP and enterprise-level CRM software solutions. He gained his initial accounting experience at Mallinckrodt, a St. Louis based publicly traded $2.7 billion (NYSE: MNK) health products company. Don earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Missouri-St. Louis and his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a certified public accountant.
