Sean Downs | CEO
Sean was appointed as CEO of Healthx in June 2015. He brings 25 years of experience in healthcare information technology, most recently from his tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Founder at Enclarity, which was acquired by LexisNexis in September 2013. Mr. Downs developed and executed the business plan and go to market strategy that produced a 40% compound annual growth rate over a five year period. He led all market facing activities of the company which ultimately led to customer relationships with 9 of the 15 largest health plans in the U.S and 28 Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans. Prior to Enclarity, Downs ran the 300-employee Healthcare and Insurance division of FICO (NYSE: FICO).
Thomas Millay | Chief Operating Officer
An accomplished application software executive, Thomas manages Healthx solution development and delivery operations including Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services and Customer Support. He also leads the company’s operating planning, process reengineering, and operational improvements which assure delivery of high quality solutions to our customers. He has over 25 years of experience in the application software industry in business unit management, sales, marketing, and professional services including senior executive roles at corporate, private equity-backed, and startup software companies. He has extensive experience with developing and managing customer success processes and teams for both mid-market and enterprise companies. Thomas earned a Bachelor’s degree in computing science from the University of Evansville and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Chuck Rolfsen | Chief Revenue Officer
Chuck works with Healthx customers – including commercial health plans, Third Party Administrators, Managed Medicaid/Medicare and Provider Sponsored Health Plans – in developing strategies and solutions to streamline administrative processes and improve the quality of care provided to their members. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Chuck guides all revenue-related activities, including new sales, account management, sales operations and marketing. He has over 30 years of managed healthcare experience as a provider, payer and technology consultant. Chuck holds a Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas More College.
Jim Meer, CPA | Chief Financial Officer
Jim is a financial executive with over 20 years’ experience in strategic, financial and operational skills. As chief financial officer, he oversees finance, legal, compliance and facilities functions at the company. Before joining our team, Jim was Senior Vice President, Finance at Appirio Inc. responsible for the global financial, planning and analysis and accounting functions at the company. Prior to Appirio, he was Vice President, Corporate Controller at ExactTarget. Jim also serves as a Board Member of Financial Executives International. Jim earned his MBA from Xavier University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business from Marian University.
Michael Gordon | Chief Strategy & Alliances Officer
Michael is responsible for corporate and market strategy, as well as strategic alliances and Healthx’s platform partner initiative. He has over 25 years of software and information technology experience with deep expertise in applying technology solutions to healthcare payer business problems. Prior to joining Healthx, he was vice president of product for iTriage, a consumer-centric healthcare technology company acquired by Aetna, Inc. In previous positions, he held product and strategy leadership roles at major companies including The TriZetto Group, Diogenes and Sybase. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ellen Humphrey | Chief People Officer
Ellen brings With more than 20 years of professional experience, leading global human resource strategies for corporations across technology, professional services, financial, and energy sectors. In her role as Chief People Officer for Healthx, she oversees all talent-related functions for the company. Previously Ellen was Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Appirio, an Indianapolis-based tech services company with 1,200 employees globally. Prior to that she was Vice President, Global Total Rewards, Talent, and HR Operations at ExactTarget, where she was responsible for the high-level strategy and delivery of global total rewards, talent, and HR operations. Ellen’s passion is delivering value to the business through people, with an emphasis on innovation and fun. Ellen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting from Indiana University–Purdue University in Indianapolis.
Ron Wozny | Vice President of Marketing
Ron leads the marketing and communications strategies for Healthx. Bringing more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare IT marketing, he is responsible for the development and execution of the strategic marketing plan, as well as the overall development of messaging, positioning and thought leadership initiatives. He also drives all corporate communications both external and internal, and manages all public relations and analyst relations activities. He was previously head of marketing for ZeOmega, a market leader in population health management solutions. Ron earned a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing with honors from Regis University in Denver, and a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska.
Dwight Klunzinger | Vice President of Account Management
Dwight is career-long payer executive with experience at commercial health plans and third party administrators. A ten-year veteran at Healthx, Dwight is responsible for the overall client satisfaction of a rapidly growing client base of health care payers throughout the United States. He oversees a team of Account Executives and Engagement Consultants, committed to maximizing customer strategies and solutions to improve the member and provider experience. Dwight earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Spanish from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.
Ray Vallillo | Vice President of Services & Support
Ray leads Healthx’s Professional Services, Customer Support, and Education teams to ensure customers’ initial and ongoing success with Healthx solutions. He has more than 20 years’ experience in building high performing teams in enterprise software management, with demonstrated success in cloud computing, strategic planning, and operational excellence and execution. Prior to joining Healthx, Vallillo was regional vice president and general manager of Expedient Data Centers. He was previously vice president, worldwide services and support for over 16 years with the former Consona Corporation. Ray holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Indiana University.
Laura Williams | Vice President of Product Management
Laura has over 25 years of experience in the development of health insurance software systems, including claims administration and payment, provider administration and reimbursement, and internet portals for Members, Employers, Providers and Brokers. She brings more than eight years of experience in product management including development of product vision, roadmaps, release schedules, marketing materials and sales support. Laura earned her Bachelor of Applied Computer Science from Illinois State University.
Chad Brake | Vice President of Engineering Operations
Chad has over 20 years of software and technology experience. He is responsible for Engineering Operations, focused on improving our processes and productivity in Engineering. Since joining Healthx in 2000, Chad has developed extensive end-to-end knowledge of Healthx technology while holding various leadership positions in engineering and operations. Prior to joining Healthx, Chad was a software engineer at IBM for the life insurance systems division. He has an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and an undergraduate degree in computer information systems from Indiana University.
